How the Backpack Referral Program Works

Backpack is a crypto exchange from the team behind the Backpack wallet, with spot and perpetual futures. Its referral programme only rewards the inviter: they earn 10% of your trading fees, and you get no bonus of your own.

Your referrer starts earning once you sign up with their code and pass KYC. They get 10% of the trading fees you generate; rebates are added weekly and can be claimed for up to 24 months.

VIP4/5 accounts only pay referral rebates in weeks when less than 25% of their volume runs through the API, and fees from Equity Perps don't count. Codes are assigned automatically; custom codes need $1,000,000 in lifetime volume.

How to Apply the Backpack Code

Open backpack.exchange and start sign-up.
Enter the code in the "Add referral" field.
Complete KYC.

Forgot the Code? Adding It Later

Backpack says it can't add a referrer for anyone who has already completed KYC without a code. If you haven't finished KYC yet, ask support.

Who Can Use It: Eligibility and Countries

Backpack's global site doesn't serve residents of North Korea, Iran, Cuba or the occupied Crimea, Sevastopol, Luhansk and Donetsk regions, and isn't available yet in Canada, Japan or New Zealand. EU residents sign up on Backpack EU instead.

Local rules: Availability depends on where you live, not on the code. In the US and UK many global exchanges either run a separate local entity or do not accept new clients, and the UK FCA requires crypto promotions to come from authorised or registered firms. Always check the exchange's list of restricted countries before you deposit.

FAQ

Do I get anything for using a Backpack referral code?

Not directly. The programme pays the inviter 10% of your trading fees once you pass KYC.

Can I add a Backpack code after signing up?

Only before KYC. Backpack says it can't add a referral once you've verified without a code.

Does using a Backpack referral code cost anything?

No. The referrer is paid by Backpack out of the trading fees, not by you. Codes that share part of that commission with you (a "kickback" or fee rebate) can actually lower your fees.

Can I use more than one code?

No. An account can be linked to one referrer only, and the link is set when the account is created. Choose the code before you register.

Are the bonus amounts on code sites real?

Large "up to" figures are usually the maximum of a whole new-user task programme that very few users complete. We show the exchange's own terms instead, so you know what is realistic.
