How the Bybit Referral Program Works

Bybit, founded in 2018 and based in Dubai, is best known for derivatives and has grown into a full exchange with spot, options and copy trading. Its current referral program is a three-step reward ladder that pays both you and the referrer.

For friends who register from 10 October 2026, Bybit's global programme has three steps. A first trade of at least $50 within 14 days of sign-up pays 50 USDT to each of you. Reaching $500 of trading volume within 30 days of that first trade pays another 100 USDT each, and $10,000 within the same 30 days a further 100 USDT each. Together you and the referrer can earn up to 500 USDT. Zero-fee pairs don't count towards the volume.

Each reward goes through a 3-day risk review and must then be claimed within 10 days. Rewards come out of a 500,000 USDT monthly pool with a daily limit, so if the day's allowance runs out you claim the next day. A new user can also get Bybit's $100 Welcome Gift, and the referrer earns 20–30% of your net fees for 365 days, capped at $5,000 per quarter since February 2026. Digit-only codes belong to affiliates; letter-and-digit codes are ordinary user referrals.

Referral Code or Welcome Bonus?

On bybit.com you don't have to choose. The referral tasks run alongside Bybit's welcome offer, and the referral FAQ says a referred friend can also receive an extra $100 Welcome Gift.

How to Apply the Bybit Code

1. Open the referral link or copy the code.
2. Register on bybit.com and put the code in the referral field of the sign-up form.
3. Complete Standard identity verification, which Bybit requires for all of its products.
4. Make a first trade of at least $50 within 14 days to unlock the first 50 USDT.
5. After the 3-day review, claim each reward in the Rewards Hub within 10 days.

Forgot the Code? Adding It Later

On global bybit.com an ordinary referral code can't be added after registration. The exception is an affiliate code: within 14 days of signing up you can still link one in your account information ("Join an Affiliate's Community"). Letter-and-digit user codes can't be added this way. On bybit.eu no referral can be added or changed after sign-up.

Who Can Use It: Eligibility and Countries

Bybit's restricted-countries list (updated 16 October 2026) covers the US, Canada, mainland China, Hong Kong, Singapore, Uzbekistan, North Korea, Cuba, Iran, Sudan, Syria, Crimea and Sevastopol, and the parts of the Donetsk, Luhansk, Kherson and Zaporizhzhia regions outside Ukrainian government control. EU and EEA residents are onboarded by Bybit EU at bybit.eu rather than the global site.

Local rules: Availability depends on where you live, not on the code. In the US and UK many global exchanges either run a separate local entity or do not accept new clients, and the UK FCA requires crypto promotions to come from authorised or registered firms. Always check the exchange's list of restricted countries before you deposit.

Security Record

• February 21, 2025: One ETH cold wallet was drained in an attack on its multisig signing process; Bybit put the loss at about $1.46 billion in ETH and staked ETH. Withdrawals kept running, and Bybit says it restored 1:1 backing of client assets within 72 hours.
